Daniel Smith graduated from Monmouth University in 2017 with his Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Music. He has been working with the prestigious Brick Memorial Marching Mustangs since 2014, where he is one of the assistant brass directors. Since 2017, he has been working with the school’s Symphonic Brass Ensemble. Dan is an active member of the Colts Neck Community Concert Band, where he plays the trumpet, and of the Old Bridge Symphonic Band, where he is a conducting intern and trumpeter. He has studied and is proficient in most wind instruments, including flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, baritone and trombone, as well as percussion. He is currently studying trumpet with Dr. Tom Boulton in preparation for graduate school auditions in 2020.
