Harrison Heard is a graduate of Westminster Choir College, where he received a Master of Music with Distinction in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance, and Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where he received his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. Harrison is a passionate teacher of all vocal genres and specializes as a performer of both opera and art song. As a performer, Harrison is a National Finalist in the 2021 American Prize competition in Art Song Performance and in 2019 Harrison was awarded Westminster’s Dalton Baldwin Award in Art Song Performance. He has also performed many operatic roles with various programs both nationally and abroad, including SongFest and Oberlin in Italy. Harrison is comfortable and experienced working with students of all ages and skill levels, given his time as a private instructor and as a secondary voice instructor at Oberlin Conservatory. He is passionate about helping each student reach their individual vocal goals.
