John Maniaci is a recently retired public school music teacher proud to join up with the wonderful teaching staff at Sweet Music Academy! He brings 25 years of teaching experience in the public schools and 40 years of private lesson experience to the table for his students. He earned a B.A. in Music Education with a concentration in Percussion from The College of NJ in 1988.
Mr. Maniaci meets his students exactly where they are, beginner through advanced, and teaches passionately with a strong background in rock, funk, jazz, marching percussion and latin. He has played with a number of NJ rock and club circuit bands and national acts most notable being “The Tokens”.
He currently plays professionally and as a worship drummer. He teaches drums, percussion, keyboards, guitar, piano and music theory.
